  • This is an interactive course for experienced QuickBooks Users whose interested in learning key features in QuickBooks Online. We will go through a case study of Craig’s Landscaping and looks at different aspects of her business in QuickBooks Online accounting system. We will setup the following tools for Chris to implement in her business: Classes, Locations, & Tags, Sales Taxes, Sub-Customers & Projects, Payroll, Inventory Management, Cash Flow, Understanding Your Numbers (Statement of Cash Flows & KPI’s) and Budgeting.

    While we identify specific learning objectives at the beginning of each section,

    4 Overall Objectives include:

    1) Introduction to basic features in QuickBooks Online and how they apply to best practice bookkeeping and accounting principles.

    2) How to effectively and efficiently use QuickBooks Online to manage daily tasks and develop an understanding of how the data is entered, processed and reviewed.

    3) How to customize QuickBooks Online to meet the specific needs of a business.

    4) How to access and use data in QuickBooks Online to analyze the current financial condition of a company and establish action steps for improvement

  • In this seminar, we’ll dig deep into client advisory and tax opportunities for accounting professionals who want to serve the vertical market of Houses of Worship (HOW). You’ll gain valuable insights and hear fresh ideas and opportunities as we look at Houses of Worship from both sides of the pulpit. We will be uncovering common accounting misconceptions and from the vantage point of the House of Worship as well as often-overlooked tax strategies from the Clergy’s perspective.

    Attendees will walk away empowered to:

    1) Find, communicate, and eradicate common misconceptions and mistakes made by HOWs and the Clergy

    2) Setup workflows utilizing QBOnline Payroll for Clergy and Houses of Worship.

    3) Review a Case Study of a minister’s tax return and apply all of their specialized tax laws to the minister’s tax situation.

  • Meeting with an IRS agent can be stressful to a taxpayer who doesn’t not understand tax law. In this seminar, we will embark on a case study of an IRS audit from start to finish. You will learn how to communicate with the IRS Audit and be prepared to successfully defend your client and reduce or eliminate their IRS liability,

    Attendee will Learn:

    1) How and when to communicate with the IRS Auditor from the beginning of the issuance of the Audit Letter to the completion.

    2) Learn how to read an Information Document Request and the tools needed to prepare the taxpayer for the interview.

    3) Learn how to use the IRS Audit Technique guides to defend your client.

    4) Learn how to read the examination report and check for miscalculations.

    5) Learn the other alternative options your client has if there’s a balance due upon completion of the audit.

  • This course provides an overview of common issues encountered when the IRS examines a business entity tax return.

    Attendee will learn:

    1) Understand the reasonable compensation requirements for S corporations and what is reasonable compensation for an S corporation shareholder.

    2) Compute basis in the business entity interest and how to potentially reconstruct basis if records are incomplete.

    3) Describe when a worker is an employee or contractor for federal tax purposes.

    4) Describe any other issues currently being scrutinized by the IRS.

  • The IRS closely watches the classification of workers for potential misclassification. The IRS investigates employers who incorrectly classify workers as independent contractors when they are really employees. It’s tempting for employers to treat workers as contractors rather than employees to reduce payroll taxes and avoid providing fringe benefits such as health insurance or retirement plan contributions. This webinar addresses the differences between independent contractors and employees, how to correct a misclassification of an employee, and applies the theory of when to classify a taxpayer as an independent contractor versus an employee for various occupations.
